New Delhi:
The BCCI has got galavanised into action by the ICL and has announced that they will start their own pro league in June next year.
The plan for this league was actually announced a year ago. Each of the 27 state associations will be allowed to make teams with two to three foreign players.
Interestingly, Sunil Gavaskar will apparently be asked to devise a format for the league.
That would bring the ICL in direct conflict with the BCCI in more ways than one, including pitching two former India captains against each other since Kapil Dev is the Chairman of the executive board of the ICL.
