Najmul Hossain Shanto played second fiddle as the duo added 82 runs together, taking the attack to the bowlers. Tanzid brought up a fine half-century and remained unbeaten on 67 as Bangladesh chased down the target in just over 15 overs. Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim managed to pick up a wicket each, but Pakistan needed a lot more on the board. In truth, it was their batters who failed to show up, leaving the bowlers with far too little to defend.
