Australia vs Bangladesh, 2nd Test Day 1, Highlights: Mitchell Starc removed Bangladesh opener Shadman Islam with the first ball of the match and the veteran Australian fast bowler took six wickets in the first innings on a wild first day of the second cricket test Saturday. Later, Shoriful Islam incredibly matched Starc's total with a six-wicket haul on a day which saw 18 wickets fall. After Australia won the toss and decided to bowl, Starc took six wickets as Bangladesh were bowled out for 64 runs shortly after lunch. The wicket, however, continued to be a challenge for batters well beyond the morning. In reply, Australia were 165-8 at stumps to lead by 101 runs despite Shoriful Islam's 6-35 total. Bangladesh have work to do - Steve Smith and Cameron Green helped Australia overcome the setback of losing their top order with not much on the board. But then came that wobble, with the hosts losing 4 wickets for just 3 runs. They still managed to stretch their lead to 146, having started the day 101 runs ahead. Australia had the opportunity to double down on their advantage, but 146 is still a significant lead. Bangladesh will have to bat really well to erase the deficit and set Australia a target. The ball did not swing as much this morning as it did late yesterday, but the new ball will pose a stiff challenge for the Asian side. Don't go anywhere, as Bangladesh's second dig will start shortly.
Shoriful leads Bangladesh off the park - His 7/48 are the best figures by a Bangladesh quick in a Test, and it is largely down to his effort that the visitors managed to limit Australia’s lead. There will still be some disappointment with the morning’s effort, though, as Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud could not quite back up Shoriful and allowed Australia to add 45 runs to their overnight score in 12.3 overs.
OUT! CAUGHT! There it is, and Bangladesh finally manage to close out the Australian first innings. The hosts are bowled out for 210, ending with a 146-run first-innings lead. Taijul Islam comes around the wicket now and floats this one up around middle and leg. Josh Hazlewood takes the front leg out and goes for the slog sweep but gets a top edge. The ball goes towards mid-wicket, where Shadman Islam from short mid-wicket backtracks and settles under the swirling ball to take a good catch.
Dragged length, turning into the pads, Hazlewood hangs back and nudges it to the left of the short leg fielder.
A lot more air on this one, flighted full and on off at just 78 clicks. Nathan Lyon looks to play the lofted drive but hits it on the bounce to the left of mid off, picking up a single.
A quick maiden from Mehidy. Fuller one, drifting into middle and leg, Hazlewood blocks it down the line.

Tossed up on off, drifts in a bit. Hazlewood looks to lean on and block but gets it off the inner half of the blade and to the left of the bowler.
Nice and full, on middle, Hazlewood makes a block off the front foot.
Bowled flatter and at the stumps, Hazlewood rocks onto the back foot and cuts it straight to point.
