Canberra:
Chasing India's 9-177, Alex Blackwell (65) and Shelley Nitschke (94) blasted an opening partnership of 140, a record for Australia against India, to guide the hosts to the target with 21 overs to spare.
Without injured captain Jhulan Goswami, the Indian attack couldn't contain the Aussie batters.
Nitschke, in particular, was in punishing form, smashing 15 fours and a six in a career-best 94 off 56 balls.
Nitschke's contribution to the team wasn't just limited to her batting. Earlier, she claimed 2-16 from 10 overs to lead the bowlers as well.
Priyanka Roy led the India batters with 40 from 85 balls while Amita Sharma (23 from 22) added value down the order.
