Thakur dishes a length ball on middle, Harris looks to clip this one to the leg side but he does so uppishly. Unluckily for him, there is a fielder present there at square leg. Sundar, there, judges it well and takes it nicely. Just the start that India would have wanted as they have sent both the Australian openers packing.  17/2

65.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Natarajan has scalped his second wicket in his maiden Test game and he gets the big, big wicket of Labuschagne, who did not want to stop batting, by the looks of things. A huge wicket for India. Just when you thought Australia were running away with the game, India comes back and grab two quick wickets. This is a shortish length delivery around off, Labuschagne looks to pull but once again is done in by the extra bounce. The ball takes the top edge and lobs near the short fine leg area. Pant calls for it, keeps his eyes on the ball and takes a good catch. So the extra bounce seems to be troubling the Aussie batters. Two well-set batters getting out in a similar manner. Two new batters out there now on a wicket which is not that easy to begin on. Can India make full use of it? Can they take another quickly? They are right back into the game.  213/5

34.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Sundar breaks this partnership and this is his first Test wicket. Does not get any bigger than this, gets the big fish, that is Smith. Sundar floats it up around off and middle, Smith comes forward slightly and flicks this one uppishly towards the short mid-wicket region. Rohit Sharma is the fielder there and he gets low and takes a delightful catch. You could also say that this is a soft dismissal. Smith looked like he was here for the long haul but his innings is cut short. Australia lose their third wicket.  87/3

63.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Finally, India get the wicket that they were looking for and they have broken this partnership which was doing them much damage! Also, the first wicket for Natarajan in Tests. He will be really happy with this. Natarajan fires in a short ball on middle, Wade looks to pull this one but does not do so cleanly. It takes the top edge as the bounce gets big on him and lobs high in the air just in between mid on and mid off. Two fielders are running in and it looks like there will be some confusion and this chance will go by as well. But Thakur, who runs in from mid on, does well to take it, in the end. Wade departs for 45 and his fine knock comes to a close.  200/4

100.5 OUT! TIMBER! Lovely from Sundar. Green is the man who falls now. India get rid of both the set batters in back-to-back overs. Tosses the ball up and lands it around middle, Green looks to defend but the ball spins away just a touch and beats his bat. He played for the turn but missed the ball completely. The ball though goes onto hit its mark. Maybe there was an outside edge there. Green falls 3 short of his half ton.  313/7

99.2 OUT! TAKEN! Shardul strikes. A much-needed wicket for the Indians. Superb from Shardul. He runs in and lands a fuller ball outside off from wide of the crease. Paine has been looking for the scoring opportunities. He sees the length and a bit of width too. He looks to go for the drive through the covers but the ball shapes away, just a tad bit, but it is enough to induce an outside edge. It goes to the right side of Rohit Sharma at second slip. It goes quickly but Rohit is alert there to gobble the chance. His 3rd catch of the innings. 50 and gone for Paine. He surely had a chance to score a Test ton here but he has thrown away the opportunity.  311/6

101.4 OUT! LBW! Three reds! Shardul gets another one. India storming back in this game here. Superb stuff from Shardul here. He bowl this one full and straight. Cummins looks to flick but misses to get pinned on the pads, right in front of the wickets. They all go up in appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Looked dead plumb but Cummins reviews. Replays roll in and they show that Cummins is a gonner because Hot Spot detects no spike, so too did Snicko, and Ball Tracker shows three reds. Australia lose 3 wickets for 4 runs.  315/8

108.2 OUT! Knocks him over from round his legs. Top delivery from Sundar. He gets his 3rd wicket of the game and the entertainment from Lyon is over. A handy knock nonetheless from him. Sundar fires it full and on middle and leg, Lyon once again gets down and looks to sweep. This time it is quicker too and he misses. The ball disturbs the stumps. He though does not time it well and gets more of the elevation than distance. 'CATCH' is the shout. Mitchell, who was at long on, keeps his eyes on the ball, runs forward, tumbles and takes a very good catch. A well set Rohit Sharma has to walk back now. 6.2 OUT! TAKEN! Australia draw first blood. It is that man again. Pat Cummins, the number one Test bowler in the world. Terrific from Cummins. Good length and just outside off, it pitches and then shapes away. Gill stays rooted in his crease and looks to poke at it. He does that with hard hands and ends up getting an outside edge. The ball goes to the right side of Steven Smith at second slip. Smudge there is safe as houses as he gobbles the chance easily.  11/1

38.5 OUT! CAUGHT! This time, Hazlewood gets the edge and this will be the end of Pujara. A good, healthy edge and a very comfortable catch for the skipper. He goes back after scoring 25 runs. Josh bowls this on a length around the off pole, straightens a touch after hitting the deck. Pujara is lured into the defensive push and gets his bat ahead. The ball kisses the outside edge and goes towards Paine who takes a good catch. Pujara was looking set with the way he was playing, but Hazlewood sends him packing. 55 OUT! TAKEN! Rahane falls! Starc gets the breakthrough. It is the huge wicket of the Indian skipper. Full and wide outside off, Rahane goes for the drive again. He has edged a couple of times before but both the times the ball went through the gap between third slip and gully. This time, the ball takes the outside edge and goes straight to Wade who is at the third slip position. The Aussies have worked out their plan as Wade is bit closer to the gully fielder this time. And he is not going to miss out on this chance. Both the overnight batters for India have been dismissed now.  144/4

60.2 OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Hazlewood is the man again. Poor, poor shot from Agarwal in the first over post Lunch. That was way too wide and outside off, he could've easily let that go to the keeper. Instead, he goes for that big booming drive. Throws the bat at it but it takes the outside edge and goes very quickly to Steven Smith at second slip. Smith does well to get both hands to it but it pops out. However, Smith keeps his eyes on the ball and grabs it on the second attempt. A fine knock from Agarwal but he has thrown it away.  161/5

66.3 OUT! CAUGHT! An unbelievable reaction catch from Green and Pant's charge has been brought to a halt. The ball was traveling quickly and Green does extremely well to hold onto this. On the shorter side outside off, Pant leans away and looks to cut this one through the point region. He plays it late and it goes towards Green at gully, who pulls off an amazing catch to send Pant back to the pavilion. His short but good stay out in the middle has unfortunately come to an end. India slowly losing the plot here. They lose their 6th wicket now and the Aussies are smelling blood now.  186/6

108.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Another one falls and it is also the big wicket of Washington Sundar! Paine's decision to bring back Starc has paid rich dividends. Starc dishes a back of a length delivery around off, Sundar leans away and looks to guide this one, opening up the face of his blade, down to the third man region. He does so uppishly and this one goes towards the gully region, where Green gets low and takes an excellent catch. A top, top knock from the youngster comes to a close.  328/9

102.3 OUT! BOWLED! Finally, finally, Australia get their breakthrough. They have been toiling hard so far and finally, Cummins comes along and disturbs the timber behind. It's not that they have not been trying to scalp the wicket, but it is just that these two were playing on another level so far. But, Cummins shows his class to break this stand. Pat fires in a length delivery around the off pole, jags back in after hitting the deck, Thakur swings his blade at this one looking to bang it away but he misses this one. The ball goes onto clip the top of the off stump. The 123-run stand comes to an end but what a partnership this has been. Thakur walks back but he should be very proud of the way that he has played. 107.4 OUT! CAUGHT! The short ball does the trick now for the Aussies! Hazlewood sends Saini packing and they really needed this wicket. Josh dishes a short of a length delivery around off, Saini, again looks to push this one away with a block, tries to defend with a straight blade. The ball though takes the outside edge and flies towards the slip region, where Steven Smith is as safe as house. India trail by 49 runs.  320/8

111.4 OUT! TIMBER! THERE IT IS! Siraj's small yet entertaining knock comes to an end. Hazlewood gets his 5th wicket of the innings and he has bowled really well. 25 OUT! CAUGHT! Finally, India and Thakur get the breakthrough they needed. Thakur is elated and why wouldn't he be? He has been bowling superbly and deserves this wicket. Bowls a short one around middle, Harris sits in response but fails to take his gloves out of the line of the ball. The ball brushes his gloves and goes to the keeper. Pant there accepts the catch gleefully as Thakur appeals to see the umpire raise his finger. A wicket down as Australia are effectively 122/1!  89/1

26 OUT! LBW! One brings two as the saying goes. It has happened here too. THREE REDS! WARNER DEPARTS AND TAKES THE REVIEW TOO! Sundar has been brilliant in this game as he gets a wicket in this innings too. Tosses this one up on off, and gets it to straighten off the surface, Warner tries to play it off the back foot but he fails to get bat on the ball. The ball thuds him on the pads and the appeal from Washington leads the umpire to raise his dreaded finger. Warner initially decides to walk off without reviewing but he is coaxed by Labuschagne to take the review. Just at the last instance before the timer went off he signals 'T'. Replays roll in and there is no spot on the Hot Spot and the RTS fails to pick any nick when the ball is near the bat. Then comes the Ball Tracker and it shows to be three reds as Warner keeps walking off the field.  91/2

30.3 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Siraj deserved that wicket, Nice line, nice length and Labuschagne fails to negotiate. The centurion from the first innings departs this time for 25. Bowls it fast and straight does Siraj as Labuschagne looks to play it off the back foot. The ball is travelling at a good height there as Labuschagne tries to play it away from his body. The ball takes the outside edge and flies to the second slip where Rohit holds onto it. Rahane's move to bring Siraj back into the attack pays off.  123/3

54.2 OUT! TAKEN! The glove is in the cotact of the bat and Smith has to go. He wasn't sure about it and hence went for the review. A lovely ball from Siraj. A length ball around off, this one shoots off after hitting the deck. Smith fends at it awkardly. The ball hits his gloves and goes to the left of Rahane at gully. The Indian skipper is not going to drop it. The Indians celebrate. Smith has a word with his partner at the other end. He is suggesting that maybe his hand was off the glove when the ball kissed it. A nothing delivery but as far as it fetches a wicket India won't mind. Wade departs without troubling the scorers. Length and down the leg side. Wade shuffles across to off, to tuck it to the leg side but what he could manage is just a faint edge. A short around off, Paine swivels to pull but ends up getting a top edge which goes towards Pant who takes the catch over his head. He timed the jump to perfection there. 72.1 OUT! CAUGHT! In the air and taken! That's wicket number 4 for Shardul Thakur. Short and around off, Lyon goes to swat it to the off side. But it hits the higher part of the bat and goes towards covers where Mayank Agarwal takes it with ease. Australia are 9 down!  274/9

75.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Mohammed Siraj gets his maiden 5-wicket haul. What a moment and series to get. Bowls a short one around off, Hazlewood tries to uppercut it but ends up slicing it towards third man where Shardul Thakur who had 4 wickets to his name takes the catch to help his partner get to a 5-wicket haul. 8.2 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Perfect line, perfect length and Paine does the rest. Paine's decision to start with Cummins pays off as he gets the breakthrough that Australia needed to get into the act. Beautifully bowled by Pat there, he lands one on a length and around off,  gets it to shape away from the right-hander. As has been the issue with Sharma that he fails to negotiate the moving ball. He once again goes to have a feel for it as his outside edge is found and Paine behind the stumps dives to his right and takes it in front of the first slip.
