AB de Villiers has released an album which is receiving rave reviews in his country.

Melbourne:

Australian pacer Brett Lee is not the only cricketer to be bitten by the music bug, South African batsman AB de Villiers too has released an album which is receiving rave reviews in his country.

A week after Lee revealed that he will head to India for live shows, Australian media reported that de Villiers has released a CD which is receiving plenty of airplay on South African radio.

"His (de Villiers) album is also being marketed to millions of potential listeners on the addictive internet game site, Stick Cricket," a report in Sydney Morning Herald said.

"The website has produced a new game that challenges players to better the 217 that de Villiers scored against India in 2008, but it's really a clever ploy to promote the album," it added.

Last week Lee had said he is preparing to tour India shortly with his new band, White Shoe Theory.
