Titans skipper and man-of-the-match Henry Davids: "Nice to get it right this time. We were looking down after the start they got but the bowlers pulled it back. We got few crucial wickets and we showed a lot of character in the middle. I enjoyed playing today, just gave myself a couple of balls before taking the attack to them and I am happy that it worked."
ÂÂ
Shikhar Dhawan after loss: "We started off really well but the middle order batsmen could not make any significant scores. We lost wickets at regular intervals and ended up making a poor total despite Dale Steyn's show in the last over. We couldn't play the short ball well. The domestic players need to perform and score big. We can't rely on Perera and Sammy to push the score every game. We need to do a lot of work."
19:05 (IST) Heino Kuhn, the Titans wicket-keeper finishes it off with a four off Thisara Perera in the 17th over. Titans seal an 8-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad with 21 balls remaining. Match Preview
Both Sunrisers Hyderabad and Titans are packed with quality players through the line-up, and both will know the significance of a win as Group B enters its final phase. After playing two matches, Titans and Hyderabad have a win and a loss each, although Hyderabad sit above Titans in the points table thanks to a marginally better net run-rate. With two games to play, the winner of this match will be much better placed to qualify for the semifinals.
Hyderabad can take heart from their performance against Chennai Super Kings on Thursday. Even though they suffered a 12-run loss, they managed to reach 190 in their chase of 202 with a performance filled with spirit and fight. Had it not been for a ballistic 19-ball 63 from Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Chennai captain, Hyderabad may well have gone home happier.
Another pleasing development for Hyderabad, and it's something the Titans are sure to make note of, is the performance of Dale Steyn. After four games in which he failed to perform up to his own lofty standards, Steyn returned figures of 4-0-23-2 against Chennai. He dismissed Murali Vijay with his second delivery, but more impressively, he denied batsmen room, kept up the pressure in the death overs and was the most economical of Hyderabad's bowlers at 5.75.
Titans have big guns of their own in AB de Villiers and Morne Morkel, and they head into this game on the back of a narrow, four-run win over Brisbane Heat. While their batting let them down in that match, the bowlers put in a fine performance as Brisbane were bowled out for just 119, with Marchant de Lange returning impressive figures of 3 for 13.
Hyderabad will be wary of de Villiers and his ability to turn the match on its head. Against Chennai in their CLT20 opener, de Villiers slammed a 36-ball 77 in a knock which included everything from sweeps to scoops. A highlight of the match on Saturdaywill be the clash between Steyn and de Villiers, both South African team-mates. How de Villiers handles Steyn, if they face each other, could have a huge say in the outcome of the match. (Read full preview)

Fighting spirit pleases Sunrisers' coach, but defensive bowling is a worry
Despite the loss, Tom Moody took heart from the manner in which his team fought all the way. A steep chase looked manageable when Shikhar Dhawan and Parthiv Patel put on a quick 87 for the first wicket. Their dismissals turned the game Chennai's way, but Darren Sammy epitomised the never-say-die attitude of the team, playing on despite a visibly painful injury after being struck by a Jason Holder yorker, to help the team respond with 190 for 7.
"One of the pleasing things is that we showed fight," said Moody. "That's something we did in IPL VI, we showed character as a side. We never gave in, and we won a lot of games that seemed to be lost. That hasn't changed, the spirit and the character is still there. But there were just a couple of passages of play where we let ourselves down after finding ourselves in good positions with bat and ball."
"Against a strong side, against some world class players, whether you're bowling spin or you're bowling quick, there're going to be times where you pay the price, because they're going to get on top of you. What was most disappointing for me with our bowling was our defensive bowling," he said. "I thought we attacked well up front, I thought we held Chennai very well in the first passage of bowling. But when it came to us defending - getting yorkers in, being smart with variations, getting the bouncer in at the right time - I thought our execution was poor, which cost us," he said.
