India's appeal against the decision to overturn pugilist Vikas Krishan's win to a loss was rejected on Saturday.
In a stunning reversal of fortunes, Vikas was ousted from the Olympics after the International Boxing Association (AIBA) overturned the result of his pre-quarterfinal bout that he had won, following a review. Manager of Indian Boxing team - Bhupinder Singh - had told NDTV that it was unfortunate.
Vikas did have a chance till the appeal was heard. AIBA had till the 7th to reply but the rejection came in just a day after the appeal had been filed.
