National champion Chetan Anand came out with impressive show as Indian shuttlers booked final berths in both the men's and women's team events in the 11th South Asian Games.

Indian men's team spanked hosts Bangladesh 5-0 en route to final, while their women counterparts thrashed Nepal with an identical scoreline at the Wooden Floor Gymnasium courts. In both the summit clashes, India will take on Sri Lanka tomorrow.

Anand thrashed Saif Uddin 21-13, 21-14 in a 20-minute battle, while top junior player RMV Gurusaidutt took three minutes longer to thrash Mohammad Ahsun Habib Parash 21-11, 21-10.

Aditya Raviprakash beat Mohammad Rais Uddin 21-14, 21-13 in the third singles match of the day.

The Indian pair of Sanave Thomas and Rupesh Kumar beat Rasel Kabir and Mohammad Ahsun Habib Parash 21-17, 21-11, before Anand partnered Diju V to overcome Mohammad Anamul Haque and Jamil Ahmed Dulal 21-11, 21-5 and rounded off the tally.

In the other last-four encounter of men's section, Sri Lanka made the final beating Nepal 5-0.

Earlier, the Nepalese shuttlers were no match for the Indian women as country's number two Sayali Gokhale gave India a flying start and sailed past Saradevi Tamang 21-6, 21-12.

PC Thulasi of Kerala drubbed Sujana Shrestha 21-4, 21-4 in 20 minutes to make it 2-0 and then Ashwini Ponnappa swelled the difference when she spanked Nangsal Tamang 21-13, 21-9.

The two Indian pair -- Shruti Kurien-Aparna Balan and Ashwini-Thulasi then completed the formalities.

Shruti and Aparna beat Pooja Shrestha and Sara 21-9, 21-6 in 18 minutes, while Ashwini-Thualsi beat Sujana-Nangsal 21-4, 21-8.

In the other women's team semifinal, Sri Lanka thrashed hosts Bangladesh 5-0 en route to the final.
