Anju wins long jump gold at Federation Cup
World number 4 Anju Bobby George has won the women's long jump by leaping 6.47 metres at the 12th Federation Cup athletics championship.

World number 4 Anju Bobby George has won the women's long jump by leaping 6.47 metres at the 12th Federation Cup athletics championship.
After failing to clear the 6.40m mark in her first five attempts, the ace Indian athlete came up with her best jump in her fifth and final attempt at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
CRPF Anisha K Vijayan won the silver with a jump of 6.01m while Kerala's P K Priya bagged the bronze clearing 5.92m.
Anju would next compete at the World Indoor Athletics championship in Moscow from March 10 before proceeding to Melbourne for the Commonwealth Games starting March 15. (PTI)
