Bangalore:
England's hard-hitting batsman Kevin Pietersen says the thrilling tie against India in the World Cup match here was the best one-day game of his career.
England, chasing a mammoth 339, managed to tie the match last night riding on skipper Andrew Strauss' brilliant 158-run knock.
Pacer Tim Bresnan also played a crucial role by picking up five wickets to prevent India from going past 350 in what was a belter of a track at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Pietersen, who made 31 in the match, said both Strauss and Bresnan were fantastic in the match and a tie was a fair result.
"A point each. Fair result the way both teams played! Strauss knock incredible! Bresnan brilliant! Best game of ODI cricket I've played in," he wrote on his 'Twitter' page.
