Bhopal:
Former India coach, Madan Lal, is upset that the 1983 World Cup-winning squad was not invited by the BCCI to watch the title clash of this edition at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai last Saturday.
"Bollywood personalities were present for the match but nobody cared about the winners of the 1983 World Cup," Lal, who was part of that victorious team, said.
Lal also added that he would consider the job of coaching the national team again if the BCCI offers him the post.
Speaking during the inauguration of the Cricket Talent Search programme at Old Champion Ground in Bhopal on Friday, the former Test player congratulated Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his players for their triumph and said they deserve all the accolades.
