Colombo:
Injured paceman Kyle Mills has been ruled out of New Zealand's squad for the World Cup semifinals and been replaced by Andy McKay.
The strike bowler strained his left thigh during a group match against Canada and has missed New Zealand's last two matches against Sri Lanka and South Africa.
Mills was fined for his part in an altercation with South Africa batsman Faf du Plessis when he took drinks onto the field at the fall of a wicket during New Zealand's upset quarterfinal win at Dhaka on Friday night.
The ICC said in a statement Saturday that McKay had been approved as a replacement.
New Zealand will meet the winner of Saturday's match between Sri Lanka and England in the semifinal next Tuesday at Colombo.
