# Gayle (7999 at an average of 39.01 in 225 matches)  requires just one run to complete his 8,000 runs in ODIs.


# Kieron Pollard (60 off 27 balls) has posted his maiden world cup fifty.  His only other fifty in ODIs is 62 against Australia at Brisbane on February 14, 2010.

# Pollard has registered four sixes in an innings for the first time in ODIs.

# Pollard's 23-ball half-century is the fourth joint quickest in the world cup


# Kemar Roach (6/27) has registered his first five-wicket haul in the world cup - his second instance of five wickets in an innings in ODIs.


# Roach is the first bowler to bag five wickets or more in an innings in the world cup at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi.  His figures are the best by any bowler in the world cup in India.

# Roach (6 for 27) is the second West Indian bowler to take six or more wickets in an innings in the World Cup. Winston Davis hd captured 7 for 51 against Australia at Leeds on June 11, 1983.

# Roach's performance is the eighth best in the history of the world cup.

# Roach has become the first West Indian and the sixth bowler to perform a hat-trick in the world cup. The first five bowlers to achieve the feat were Chetan Sharma, Saqlain Mushtaq, Chaminda Vaas, Brett Lee and Lasith Malinga.


# Roach has received the Man of the Match award for the first time in ODIs.

# Kemar Roach is the first bowler to claim six wickets in an innings against Netherlands in ODIs.

# Roach's aforesaid performance is the best by a West Indian in India, ecipsing the 6 for 29 by Patrick Patterson against India at Nagpur on December 8, 1987.

# Apart from Patterson and Roach,  Vivian Richards is the only other West Indian bowler to bag six wickets on Indian soil - 6 for 41 at Delhi on October 23, 1989.

# Sulieman Benn (3/28) has registered his best world cup performance.

# Bernard Loots has registered his first duck in ODIs/World Cup.

# Wesley Barressi has posted his third duck in OdIs - his first in the world cup.

# Tom Cooper (55 not out off 72 balls) has registered his highest score in the world cup, bettering the 47 against England at Nagpur on February 22, 2011.

# West Indies' convincing 215-run victory is their biggest by runs margin in the world cup, eclipsing the 191-run win over Sri Lanka at Karachi on October 13, 1987

# West Indies' aforesaid victory is also their biggest by runs margin in ODIs, outstripping the 208-run win over Canada at Kingston on April 13, 2010.

# West Indies' said win is the sixth joint highest in terms of runs in the world cup.


# West Indies (330/8) have recorded their second highest total in World Cup - the highest being the 360 for four against Sri Lanka at Karachi on October 13, 1987.

# West Indies (330 for eight) have posted the highest at Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi, surpassing the 303 for eight by Pakistan against India on April 17, 2005.


# Netherlands (115) have posted their lowest total in the world cup, surpassing the 122 against Australia at Potchefstroom on February 20, 2003.

# Chris Gayle and Devon Smith, with their 100-run opening partnership, have established a record for West Indies against Netherlands, eclipsing the 82 (unbroken) between the same pair at Dublin on July 10, 2007.

# Devon Smith (53 off 51 balls) has posted his fourth fifty in ODIs - one each against South Africa, Bangladesh, England and Netherlands.

# Smith has registered his second fifty in the world cup.  He had posted 61 against England at Bridgetown on April 21, 2007.
