Kochi:

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan on Wednesday said ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's nomination to the Rajya Sabha was a 'good selection'.

"I know Sachin to be a person of high integrity. He is an honest, straight forward person, sensible and intelligent and these are qualities I would like to see in a person who is being nominated to the Rajya sabha," he told reporters here.

"I think it is a good selection and having received the invitation he himself feels he has something to contribute," Aamir said when asked for his reaction to the government nominating the master blaster to the Upper House of the Parliament.

Tendulkar must have thought a great deal about it, said the actor adding he was happy with the government's decision.
