Third-seeded Australian Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka made the Cincinnati Masters quarterfinals on Thursday with a 3-6, 6-0, 6-1 win over Croatia's Marin Cilic.
The Swiss goes on to tackle France's Julien Benneteau, who put out Poland's Jerzy Janowicz 7-5, 6-1, for a place in the semifinals.
