World No. 1 Serena Williams coasted into the semifinals of the Gaz de France Open on Friday when she defeated Slovakia's Janette Husarova 6-3, 6-3 in a quarterfinal match. Williams will meet Greece's Eleni Daniilidou, seeded eighth, in the semi-final. Daniilidou overpowered fourth-seeded Jelena Dokic 6-1, 6-3. "She hits real hard and plays real well," Williams said of Daniilidou. "It won't be one-sided". Serena beat Daniilidou in straight sets in the round of 16 of this year's Australian Open. (AP)
