Vina Del Mar:
Nicolas Massu reached his hometown final for the second straight year when he dispatched Spain's Albert Montanes 6-1, 6-3 at the Movistar Open on Saturday.
"I owe this mainly to you," Massu told the crowd at Las Salinas club. "Your support has been crucial to me."
Third-seeded Massu will face fifth-seeded Luis Horna in Sunday's final, after the Peruvian outlasted first-time semifinalist Martin Vassallo Arguello of Argentina 7-5, 6-4.
Massu lost last year's final to Jose Acasuso of Argentina. He has a 6-8 career record in ATP finals. His only title in four finals last year was at Costa do Sauipe, Brazil.
Massu is 4-0 against Horna, all on clay. The final will be Horna's first since he won his maiden ATP title in Acapulco almost a year ago.
Horna hasn't dropped a set en route to his third career final, though he had to stop Vassallo Arguello from serving for the first set at 5-4. Horna won the last three games of the set, and broke early in the second.
Number 8-seeded Vassallo Arguello was coming off victory in a challenger at Santiago last week.
