Top seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi have won the ATO Tennis Masters in Montreal.

Top seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi have won the ATO Tennis Masters in Montreal. The duo beat Jonas Bjorkman and Todd Woodbridge in the doubles event of the $2.45 million event. Mahesh and Mirnyi beat Bjorkman and Woodbridge 6-3, 7-6. The duo won 79 per cent of their first serve points and 93 per cent of their second serves. The pair of Bhupathi and Mirnyi of Belarus booked a berth in the final when their last four opponents Cyril Suk and Martin Damm of Czech Republic withdrew from the competition last night. Recently, fourth seeded Bjorkman and Woodbridge reached the finals with a 7-6 (7-6), 6-7 (7-4), 7-5 victory over second seed and defending champions Bob and Mike Bryan. Earlier, the fifth seeded pair of Leander Paes and Czech Republic's Rikl went down to second seeds Bob and Mike Bryan of USA 3-6, 4-6 in the quarterfinals.
