Haryana government announces Rs 1 crore for Gagan Narang
Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced a prize of Rs 1 crore for shooting ace Gagan Narang who bagged the bronze medal for India in the 10m air rifle event in London on Monday.

Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced a prize of Rs 1 crore for shooting ace Gagan Narang who bagged the bronze medal for India in the 10m air rifle event in London on Monday.

Congratulating the shooter for earning India's first medal in this edition of the Olympics, Hooda said that even in the past, Narang has brought several laurels to the state and to the country. He added that he hopes many more athletes go on to win medals in the Games.
Haryana has announced a reward of Rs 2.50 crore for athletes winning the gold medal and Rs 1.50 crore for the silver.
Meanwhile, Narang's father was elated but said that there were more events to come and that there was scope for more glory. (Read report here)
