Superhuman Ventures Pvt. Ltd. is gearing up for the fourth edition of Superhuman Battleground MMA, scheduled to take place on February 15, 2025, at Superhuman Gym in Manipal, Karnataka. This edition promises to be the most intense and competitive one yet, featuring some of the finest amateur MMA fighters from across India. Since its inception, Superhuman Battleground has steadily grown into one of India's premier amateur MMA platforms. The event, which began with just 30 applicants and 16 selected fighters, has expanded exponentially over the past two years. For this edition, 127 applicants vied for a spot, with 50 fighters ultimately making the cut to compete in 25 action-packed fights.
The main event of the night will be a highly anticipated clash between Sandeep Baghel and Vikas Gupta, two battle-hardened veterans of the Indian amateur MMA circuit who have a combined 43 fights to their names. The co-main event will see Anosh Parth take on Vikas Jaiswar, a matchup between two accomplished fighters with 35 fights between them. Together, the main event and co-main event competitors bring a staggering 78 amateur fights worth of experience into the cage, ensuring high-level action for fight fans.
Superhuman Battleground was founded to provide a stable and progressive platform for amateur MMA fighters, giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills and transition toward professional leagues. Since its launch in 2022, it has set a new benchmark for amateur combat sports in India, being the only event in the country that is governed by authorized regulatory bodies, shot on professional cameras, uploaded on YouTube, and recorded on Sherdog, the world's leading MMA fight record database.
The event has been instrumental in identifying and nurturing emerging talent, attracting some of the most skilled amateur fighters from across the nation. Notable names competing in this edition include Nitish Kumar, Parvez Khan, Angel Patil, and Nikhil Shetty, with 13 fighters making their amateur debut, adding a fresh and dynamic edge to the competition.
Superhuman Ventures has ambitious plans for the future, ramping up its event division significantly. In 2025, four amateur MMA events are scheduled, followed by six amateur events in 2026, with further expansion into professional events.
Speaking about the event, Somesh Kamra, a UFC scout and founder of Superhuman Ventures, emphasized the significance of Superhuman Battleground in shaping the future of Indian MMA. "Superhuman Battleground has proven to be the highest level of competition for amateur fighters in India. Our goal is to bridge the gap between grassroots MMA and the professional circuit, providing a structured and credible pathway for fighters to grow," he said.
Fans can witness all the action live as Superhuman Battleground MMA 4 will be streamed live on YouTube, ensuring that audiences across the world can experience the thrill of India's growing MMA scene.
