International Olympic Committee (IOC) inspectors on Thursday said they were "hugely impressed" by Tokyo's bid for the 2020 Summer Games.
"We have been hugely impressed by the quality of the bid presentations made by the bid committee," IOC Evaluation Commission Chairman Craig Reedie told a press conference at the end of a four-day inspection tour.
"Across the board, they have just been excellent in every way, and it reflects great credit and all their hard work."

Asked about how the increase in public support from 46 percent to 70 percent in the Japanese capital affect Tokyo's bid, Reedie said: "We did the poll, we published them, it's for other people to claim they are happy or otherwise."
