New Delhi:
The Google doodle on Tuesday celebrates the 216th anniversary of world's first parachute jump by balloonist and inventor of frameless parachute Andre-Jacques Garnerin.
Garnerin, who was granted the title Official Aeronaut of France, was 28-year-old when he first made the leap on Oct 22, 1797, at Parc Monceau, Paris. He used a seven metre silk parachute that resembled an umbrella.
One of the 'Os' of Google is represented by the round head of the parachute.
The doodle allows the viewers to play a game and help the parachute land at a safe place.
