Eight Indians participating in the IBSF World Snooker Championships here confirmed their spots in the knock-out stage at the conclusion of the league phase.
While Manan Chandra had already qualified, winning five of his six group matches, Brijesh Damani and Shahbaz Adil Khan also scrambled into the knockout phase on Wednesday night with similar 5-3 win-loss record in the men's section.
On the distaff side, Vidya Pillai roared past Roberta Cutajar of Malta 3-0 for her sixth win in as many matches to top the group and join Arantxa Sanchis (5-4), Neena Praveen, who beat Yana Shut of Belaur 3-0 for her fourth win in six outings, Varsha Sanjeev (5-4) and Chitra Magimairajan (6-4), in the knock-out stage.
