Syria Olympic chief not attending London Games
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Friday that the president of the Syrian National Olympic Committee will not be attending the London Games from July 27 to August 12.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Friday that the president of the Syrian National Olympic Committee will not be attending the London Games from July 27 to August 12.

"The president of the Syrian National Olympic Committee has indicated that he will not go to London following the announcement by the (British) authorities forbidding him access to British territory," said the IOC.
"The IOC notes this declaration."
Syria are expected to be represented by 10 athletes in London, according to their Olympic committee's official website.
