Quinton de Kock stole the show for Delhi Daredevils as he smashed the first century in the 2016 Indian Premier League to give the Delhi Daredevils a seven-wicket win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday. (Highlights)
De Kock, who had arrived into the match with an aggressive fifty in the match against Kings XI Punjab, carried on his great form by slamming three boundaries off Parvez Rasool.
The stylish left-hander continued to find the ropes at regular intervals and he found great support in Karun Nair, who matched him for aggression. Both batsmen put Delhi Daredevils on course as they shared a partnership worth over 100 runs.
De Kock notched up the milestone in the 18th over when he cut David Wiese to deep point for a single to notch up his maiden IPL century. He became the fifth Delhi Daredevils batsman after AB de Villiers, David Warner, Kevin Pietersen and Virender Sehwag to score a century in the Indian Premier League and also the second youngest to score a century.
In the 19th over, De Kock was undone by a short ball as he gloved it to Kedar Jadhav to depart for a magnificent 108. This effort helped Delhi Daredevils register their first win over Royal Challengers Bangalore since 2010.
