Sunrisers Hyderabad left-arm pacer Barinder Sran has been fined 10 per cent of his match fee for inappropriate behaviour during their Indian Premier League match against Mumbai Indians here on Tuesday. In the fourth over of the Mumbai Indians innings, Sran bowled opener Parthiv Patel (10) and then gestured the batsman to leave the field. Sran finished with figures of 3/28 as Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match by seven wickets.
Sran's conduct was deemed contrary to the spirit of the game by the match referee.
Sran admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) and accepted the sanction.
For all Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee's decision is final and binding.
