PAK vs BAN Highlights, Under-19 World Cup 2024: Pakistan edged past Bangladesh by five runs in a low-scoring thriller at Willowmoore Park, Benoni to qualify for the semi-final. In the Super Six match, Bangladesh needed to chase down the target of 156 in 38.1 overs to make it to the knockouts but Pakistan bundled them out for 150. As a result, Pakistan became the second team from Group A of Super Six round after India to advance to the semi-finals. Earlier, Bangladesh bowlers gave a good account of themselves and bowled out Pakistan for 155. (Scorecard)

He says that they were happy to restrict Pakistan Under-19 to such a low score but they just fell short while chasing. Ubaid Shah is the player of the match for his five-fer. He says that he is thankful that they won. Adds that they kept it calm and kept on attacking the batters. Earlier in the match, the Pakistan Under-19 team struggled to build partnerships and lost wickets consistently, leading to a low total of 155 runs. Bangladesh Under-19 bowlers performed well, particularly Sheikh Paevez Jibon and Md Rohanat Doullah Borson, who took four wickets each. Bangladesh needed to chase the target in 38.1 overs or less to advance to the semi-finals.
Bangladesh Under-19 will be upset with their performance, saying that they had the game under their control but failed to get over the line. They kept losing wickets at timely intervals, and that is what cost them the game. Md Rohanat Doullah Borson showed some grit in the end but unfortunately couldn't get his side over the line.
Having to defend a below-par score of 155 runs, they always needed wickets, and boy did they not put up a dominating show here! They kept taking wickets at regular intervals. They fumbled a bit with their fielding, but there were some excellent catches as well in the game. Ubaid Shah was the pick of the bowlers for them as he picked up a five-fer. Ali Raza picked three wickets whilst Mohammad Zeeshan picked up the last and only wicket of Maruf Mridha to end the game and win it for their side by just 5 runs!
