Women's hockey players receive dues from ministry
Protesting Indian women hockey players finally received their financial dues from the Sport Ministry here on Friday.

The Director Sports, Government of India, Deepika Kachhal reached the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Regional Centre here to distribute cheques to the women players, who have been sporting black bands in protest against th non-payment of their longstanding dues.
All the 41 players got a cheque of Rs 2.30 lakh each from the Sports Ministry on the occasion, chief coach M K Kaushik said.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had donated Rs 1 crore to the Sports Ministry for providing financial assistance to the players.Â
