Senior hockey players will be coming to Delhi on Saturday after Friday's revolt over non-payment of their dues

Senior hockey players will be coming to Delhi on Saturday after Friday's revolt over non-payment of their dues when the entire national hockey team refused to turn up for practice.

Six players including Rajpal Singh, Sandeep Singh, Prabhjot Singh, Arjun Halappa and Sardara Singh will be in Delhi sometime in the afternoon.

They have a meeting with Hockey India, the interim body that governs the game in the country, followed by a press conference.

The players say Hockey India has failed to respond to two of their letters asking the authorities to make payments.

Hockey India, however, is confident of sorting out the issue at the meeting.

"I will talk to them and look into the matter to understand what exactly their grievances are. I am confident that we will sort out the problem soon," HI President A K Mattoo said on Friday.
