New Delhi:
Just three days after M K Kaushik was appointed as chief coach of men's hockey team by IOA ad-hoc committee, Indian Women's Hockey Federation chief Amrit Bose on Saturday claimed that he will continue his services with the women's side.
Kaushik was on Wednesday named as the men's team coach till the 2010 Asian Games but Bose said he will soon join a women's hockey camp in Bangalore after reporting to the Sports Authority of India on Monday.
"The IWHF technical director M P Ganesh has informed us that Kaushik has agreed to join the camp in Bangalore at the earliest," said Bose who had strongly protested over Kaushik's appointment for the men's team without IWHF's consent.
Bose had termed Kaushik's appointment as 'illegal' as he is contracted with IWHF till 2012 London Olympics.
"As far we are was concerned, there was no confusion about Kaushik's matter as it was the IWHF which brought Kaushik on deputation from the Haryana government," she added.
The IWHF discussed the matter in detail in their Annual General Meeting here today, which was also attended by Ganesh.
