Bangalore:Motorcross champions in the country have a tough running even after their repeated successes. Yet it is their never say die attitude that keeps their spirits from flagging and our national hopes alive. National Supercross champions for the fourth year running C Vijaykumar is presently training for the upcoming Asian Championships next February. "The next two-three months I will be in Australia. Once I get from there I will take part in various races - China, Philippines. I look forward to competing, it's not going to be a cakewalk. I have to work really really hard on my training, my fitness," said Vijaykumar. The national champions started racing in 1999 with an old borrowed motorcycle. He has come a long way since then. "We had a race in Coimbatore once which I won and TVS approached me and said we can sponsor you and so I started riding for them. They sent me abroad so I got good training, good package, good bike. It feels good and makes me want to work more," he said. Vijaykumar trains three days a week in the gym and spends all his spare time in a dirt track behind his house. And the grit and determination is paying off for this young champion.
