Valencia:

As if dominating Formula one wasn't enough, now Ferrari legend Michael Schumacher has shown he's as capable on two wheels as he is on four.

He clocked some impressive lap times during a special guest ride on Casey Stoner's world championship-winning factory Ducati in Valencia.

The seven-time Formula One world champion, who rides a Harley Davidson, is no stranger to MotoGP bikes as he rode a 990cc Desmosedici at the Mugello circuit in Italy back in 2005.

Schumacher was given some useful pointers by former Grand Prix rider Randy Mamola for his first ride on an 800cc MotoGP bike.

The German completed 58 laps and set some impressive times, including a fastest lap of one minute, 37.89 seconds, which is just over five seconds outside Dani Pedrosa's new lap record, which the Spaniard set in winning the Valencia MotoGP on Sunday.

Making Schumacher's times even more impressive was the fact that he wasn't even using super powerful carbon brakes, preferring instead to run steel brakes normally used in MotoGP in the rain.

Schumacher insisted he had no desire to compete in a MotoGP race in the future, but said he was impressed with the way 22-year-old Australian Stoner won the title this year.
