MF1 may drop Karthikeyan in next season

New Delhi:

The Midlands Formula 1 team formerly known as Jordan is almost certainly going to drop Indian Narain Karthikeyan from their team in the upcoming season. While releasing a new look for the team that'll go by the name of MF1 Racing, the management dropped the names of Karthikeyan's sponsors, both Indian companies 'Tata' and 'Speed'. MF1 Racing though retained both sponsors of his teammate Tiego Montiero who will be joined by Dutch Christijan Albers for next year. Jordan might have had high hopes from its duo of Monteiro and Karthikeyan when they launched the 2005 season, but a total of 12 drivers and constructors points meant that the British team finished in 9th place in the constructors championships ahead only of Minardi.
