Karthikeyan gets Team India three points from Sprint race
Narain Karthikeyan secured three points for Team India by finishing sixth in the sprint race but returned empty handed in the Feature race in A1GP.

Narain Karthikeyan secured three points for Team India by finishing sixth in the sprint race but returned empty handed in the Feature race with a 12th place finish in the South African leg of the A1GP here on Sunday.
Karthikeyan started the sprint race from fifth position and Feature race from as low as 18th.
Karthikeyan, first Indian to race in the F1 circuit, finished the 40-lap Feature race in 1:03'33.767 minutes, 1'09.150 minutes behind the Swiss winner Neel Jani. The Brazil team finished second, followed by Monaco and Netherlands.
India now have eight points and stand at 15th position in the event, promoted as World Cup of Motor Sport.
The Indian ace started fifth on the grid in Sprint race and moved up to the fourth position but Clivio Piccione of Monaco and Ireland's Adam Caroll overtook him in quick succession pushing him to sixth.
