Alonso wins Malaysian GP, Karthikeyan finishes 11th

Renault's Fernando Alonso has won the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang.

Renault's Fernando Alonso has won the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang. The Spaniard, who started from the pole position, dominated the 56 lap race to win ahead of Jarno Trulli. Trulli's second place finish fetched his Toyota team the first ever podium position in Formula 1. Nick Heidfeld in Williams-BMW came in third. India's Narain Karthikeyan, 17th at the grid, started off brilliantly to finish 11th in the Malaysian Grand Prix. Karthikeyan driving in a Jordan-Toyota improved upon his 15th place finish in the season's opening Australian Grand Prix.
