New Delhi:
The thought of young children driving around on any kind of race track is scary but 11-year-old Zain Khan has the approval of his father.
The young motocross freak, better known to most people for being a child actor is now preparing for his next outing, the Asian Motocross Championship in Macau.
Zain Khan has been hot wheeling bikes since the age of 5, starting off with a much smaller bike. Today he has graduated to a 85cc bike.
"I want him to achieve whatever I couldn't. So I want him to win big. People ask me sometimes, aren't you scared he could get hurt, but I just think if something has to happen, it will happen anywhere so he might as well do what he wants," said Zaki Khan, Zain's father.
Hoping for victory
To fuel his son's passion, his father built a race track on a vacant plot of land in suburban Mumbai.
The results seem to have paid off as Zain will represent India in the Asian Junior Motocross Championship season in all the five rounds this year.
The child star from the recently released film Parineeta says that while acting is fun, revving up the throttle is far cooler.
Zain will go to Macau this weekend where he will take part in the Asian Motocross Junior championships which he hopes to win. After this he plans to hit top gear by moving to go kart racing.
