Valencia's Mestalla Stadium has been selected to host the Copa del Rey final between Barcelona and Real Madrid on April 20, what could be one of four games between the Spanish powers in a 16-day span.

The Spanish football federation said Friday the clubs agreed to play at the 52,000-capacity stadium. Barcelona is vying for its 26th domestic cup trophy while Madrid is playing for its 18th and first since 1993.

Real Madrid hosts Barcelona in the Spanish league on April 16 or 17. If both advance to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, they could be drawn to face each other on April 5-6 and 12-13.

Barcelona (20-1-1), two-time defending league champion, holds seven-point lead over Madrid (17-2-3).
