Nyon:

UEFA has set the cheapest ticket price at €30 ($40) when seats for 2012 European Championship matches in Poland and Ukraine go on sale next month.

Tickets for the final scheduled on July 1 in Kiev range from €50-€600 ($68-$810).

UEFA says Polish and Ukrainian residents' ability to pay was considered when setting the cheapest tickets at 50 percent less than at Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland.

UEFA says it consulted with local organizers to set "affordable prices" for the 31 matches.

Highest category seats for group matches cost €120 ($160).

Polish and Ukrainian residents can pay in local currency and fans elsewhere must pay in euros.

Tickets are being sold from March 1-31 exclusively through UEFA's website.
