Henry scores twice as Red Bulls rout Rapids 4-1

Thierry Henry scored his first two goals of the Major League Soccer season and set up one of Kenny Cooper's pair on Sunday to lead the New York Red Bulls to their first win of the season, 4-1 over the Colorado Rapids.

Thierry Henry scored his first two goals of the Major League Soccer season and set up one of Kenny Cooper's pair on Sunday to lead the New York Red Bulls to their first win of the season, 4-1 over the Colorado Rapids.

The 34-year-old Henry, who had three goals in seven games during a winter loan to Arsenal, scored in the third and 54th minutes. He helped out on a sixth-minute goal by Cooper, who also got scored in the 89th off a pass from Roy Miller.

Omar Cummings scored the Rapids' goal in the 77th.

At Kansas City, Kansas, Kei Kamara atoned for a missed penalty with a goal in the 88th minute to lead Sporting Kansas City over FC Dallas 2-1.

After Ricardo Villar opened the scoring for Kansas City in the 25th minute, Aurelien Collin equalised with a header in first-half stoppage time off a free kick by Zusi.

Dallas keeper Kevin Hartman saved Kamara's penalty in the 51st minute, but Kamara gave Sporting the win when he slashed into the area and fired home Chance Myers' cross.
