Sweden coach Erik Hamren has asked Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to decide by August whether he wants to continue playing for the national team.

Swedish fans have been left wondering whether their star player has quit the team for good after he declined to play in a series of friendlies following Sweden's failure to qualify for the 2010 World Cup.

Hamren said that Ibrahimovic wants to focus on Barcelona but has agreed to decide by August whether he would come back for Sweden's qualifying campaign for the 2012 European Championship.
