Doha:
South Korea were expected to open their Asian Games campaign with a comfortable win over Bangladesh at the Al Gharrafa Stadium, and the favourites didn't disappoint. Captain Lee Chun Soo found his way into the Bangladesh penalty area and scored with a crisp drive to give his team the lead in just the third minute. Bangladesh held the South Koreans to just a goal until the break. Thereafter, Bangladesh found South Korea striker Park Chu Young unstoppable. Having missed a couple of easy scoring opportunities early on, Park made amends when he scored from close range in the 58th minute. Park scored his second with a half-volley from top of the box in the 73rd minute. His two goals completed the rout for South Korea, who head Group B after the first game. Bahrain and Vietnam are the other two teams in the Group.(AP)Topics mentioned in this article
