Real Madrid travelled to Athens on Monday for its final UEFA Champions League group match against Olympiakos. Real Madrid have already qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League. New caretaker coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro will be hoping, however, that he can start his spell with a win. Lopez Caro was appointed coach on a caretaker basis on Sunday after Vanderlei Luxemburgo was sacked following indifferent performances this season from the Galacticos. Caro has led Real's reserve team to promotion to the second division last season. He's been at the club for four years and becomes the sixth coach to take charge of the first team since June 2003. Key Real Madrid players have been rested from this fixture with Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Roberto Carlos and David Beckham all staying back home in Spain. (AP)
