Former footballer Chandan Singh Rawat, who was part of the 1951 Asian Games gold winning squad, passed away in Darjeeling on Thursday.

Former footballer Chandan Singh Rawat, who was part of the 1951 Asian Games gold winning squad, passed away in Darjeeling on Thursday.
Rawat was in his 80s. He was also a part of the team that took part in the Helsinki Olympics in 1952.
He played for East Bengal, Mohun Bagan and Rajasthan Club in Kolkata in 1950s.
