Nayeem appointed new Bangladesh coach
In what must surely rank as a first in Indian football, veteran coach Syed Nayeemuddin has been appointed as the coach of the Bangladeshi national team.

Nayeem is presently in his second stint in charge of Dhaka club Brothers' Union, a team that's placed fifth in the Bangladesh League right now.
He is likely to be in charge of the Bangladesh team till the SAFF championships in Colombo and Male this December, where the side could actually face India.
The name of the Dronacharya awardee, who coached the Indian team in three separate stints and also guided Kolkata giants East Bengal and Mohan Bagan, was proposed by the Bangladesh Football Federation.
