Mizoram, West Bengal, SAI & Jharkhand Schools Book Place in Subroto Cup Quarters

Schools from Mizoram, West Bengal, SAI North East Centre and Jharkhand made it to the quarterfinals of the sub-junior (under-14) section in the 56th Subroto Cup football tournament here on Monday.
Government Chawngfianga Middle School from Mizoram qualified for the quarterfinals after beating NSS MP Shikshya Niketan from Odisha 2-0 in the first match played at the Ambedkar Stadium here.
In other matches, West Bengal Jatragachi Pranabandana High school downed Govt. Senior Secondary School Lakshwadeep 9-0 while SAI North East Regional Centre Assam toppled Sports Hostel Nagaland 1-0 to go through to the quarterfinals. BS+2 High school Jharkhand defeated 2 Delhi BN NCC 5-1 to also made it to the last eight stage of the Under-14 section.
West Bengal will take on SAI NE Regional Centre Assam while Government Chawngfianga Middle School, Mizoram will lock horns with BS+2 High school Jharkhand in quarterfinals at Ambedkar Stadium on Tuesday.
