Marseilles, Lens game draws

Lens, France:

The Felix-Bollaert Stadium in Lens was awash with enough colour to stimulate the senses. Unfortunately there was no such thrills in the game ahead between Marseilles and FC Lens. Fifth placed Marseilles should have dominated the play against 16th placed Lens. But instead most of the few chances in the match came from the homeside - none though really threatened French national keeper Fabien Barthez. Marseille awoke in the second half - and for the first time targetted the goal of RC Lens. Charles Itandje though was up to the task and the goalless match eventually ground to an end. Both teams take a point from the draw - Marseilles remain in fifth place on 18 points - five points behind leaders Lyon - while RC Lens remaing unchanged in 16th with 12 points. (AP)
