Kerala became the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the 59th Santosh Trophy National Football tournament when they beat Delhi 2-1.

Kerala became the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the 59th Santosh Trophy National Football tournament when they beat Delhi 2-1 in New Delhi today. Kerala scored twice in the span of two minutes to quell the challenge of the hosts. They had defeated Railways 3-1 in their first quarterfinal league encounter. Abdul Naushad drew first blood in the 43rd minute and Abdul Hakkeem doubled the lead in the very next minute for Kerala. Mohun Bagan player Rishi Kapoor scored the consolation goal for Delhi in the 66th minute. (PTI)
