Madrid:

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho says injured forward Angel di Maria won't return before April to help cover the final stretch of the season.

Di Maria has played about 30 minutes in 2012 due to a right leg muscle injury and Mourinho says the 24-year-old should start training in one week as "we won't risk him - there's fear we could lose him again."

The Portuguese coach signaled Turkey midfielder Nuri Sahin remained part of his future plans despite the €10 million ($14 million) offseason signing's failure to feature for the Spanish leader in 2012.

Mourinho says: "He'll be here next season, when we'll expect much more."

Madrid leads Barcelona by 10 points and plays APOEL in the Champions League quarterfinals.
