Moscow:
Spartak Moscow are not going to sign Liverpool's Joe Cole, the Russian club's owner Leonid Fedun has said.
Cole is out of Liverpool's first-team plans and reportedly rejected an offer from Spartak late in the summer transfer window.
Fedun's words appear to rule out an attempt to sign Cole in the winter.
"I think not," Fedun said when asked whether Cole might sign for Spartak.
Cole, 30, has struggled with serious injuries and poor form in recent seasons, but impressed on a loan spell with France's Lille last season in which he played 31 games and inspired Lille to try to sign him permanently, although that move fell through.
He has scored 10 times in 56 games for England.
